Health Insurance

International students enrolled in programs lasting 15 weeks or more must provide proof of sufficient health insurance coverage for their entire stay.

Under the Medicare Protection Act, enrollment in the Medical Services Plan (MSP) is mandatory for all eligible residents and their dependents. International students in British Columbia with a study permit valid for six months or longer are considered residents and must register for MSP.
