Field Work at The Powell Street Festival  Jul 31- Aug 1, 2010

 

The Powell Street Festival was held on July 31 and August 1, 2010. It returned to its traditional home at Oppenheimer Park from Woodland Park the previous summer and it seemed more people came back to the festival. Every year, the students from The Canadian College of Shiatsu Therapy set a shiatsu booth. People who wanted to try shiatsu started to gather at the shiatsu booth 30min prior to opening. There was a long line up that eventually led to one hour wait times for a shiatsu treatment. The students gave shiatsu treatments to 78 clients total continuously for 7 hours each day for two days. It was an amazing, wonderful and valuable experience that the students gained.
