Culture and Language Class in 2010 Japanese
language and culture class has started rectured by an instractor Ms.
Naomi Kirigaya. This class is where you can learn not only Japanese
language but also Japanese tradition. Through this course, students can
deepen thier interest more to shiatsu as a Japanese
traditional hands-on therapy. Ms. Naomi Kirigaya is the
instractor who engaged in the various Japanese-language education
intended for Japanese as a foreign language. Ms.Sonia
Bresil
is one of our students taking this coures. Take a look how much she
enjoyed
in the class. The
Japanese culture and language class can also be taken by itself. If you

In
this class, she experienced yukata which is Japanese traditional summer
dress. It was her first time to wear yukata and she was
beautifull
in the blue and cute design.
Activity 2 Sushi
In
this class, she tried to make a California roll. It was difficult to
deal with sticky rice, but she made an awesome roll!! The rice outsided
roll is a tipical style in Canada. She said it wan't as difficult as
she thought. It must have been tasty.
Activity 3 Calligrapy
In
this class, She
tried Japanese traditional calligrapy. It was her first time
to
use a Japanese brush(hude) and Japanese ink(sumi). At the beginning,
she
looked nervous and took her fist brush stroke very carefully.
Finally, she completed a Japanese letter which is pronounced Ai meaning
love in English. She did a great job!!
