On January 31, 2011,
"a stress free event" was held by CAPC, Community Action Program
for
Children in Partnership, with Family Services of the North Shore at
John
Braithwaite Community Centre in North Vancouver. This event offered
healing and peace of mind to the residences of North Vancouver
who are occupied with child raising and houseworks.
The same
as last year, 5 students from Canadian College of Shiatsu
Therapy set a shiatsu booth and gave shiatsu treatments to total
of 15 participants in the event. See
the event last year
After
the opening session, the event started with meditation with all
participants as well as the students from the Canadian College of
Shiatsu Therapy, and they all seemed to be so calm mentally and
physically. After the maditation, participants
were divided into 3
groups
and experienced Meditation & Aromatherapy, Energy Healing, and
Shiatsu for 20min. respectively. Most
of the participants were loosened by shiatsu the stiffness of
their arms, shoulders, and backs which come from child
care. Finally the gift bags were distributed and $5 off
shiatsu coupons were provided by the Canadian College of Shiatsu
Therapy.
The
students contribute the society through shiatsu actively, and
also shiatsu coupones are donated to various community events to give
an opportunity to as many people as possible to experience
shiatsu . See the our social
contributions
