Scandinavian Summer Festival

On June 18th and 19th, the Scandinavian Summer Festival was held at Scandinavian Community Center. Scandinavian Summer Festival was organeized by the Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Finnish community since 1996. Each year the festival invites one guest country to participate and showcace its music, arts, business, and travel infomation. This year Japan was invited to be the quest country and the Canadian College of Shiatsu Therapy (CCST) introduced Japanese traditional hands-on Shiatsu therapy .
During the fistival there were many entertainments such as, a vikings villege, scadinavian food, a wife carry contest, dance performances and many others at different booths.
Four CCST students participated in this feild work and they gave Shiatsu treatment to 33 people. Some of these people included who the coordimater of the festival, a dancer, a mother of a small child, and a first timer to the Shiatsu therapy.
It was a wonderful opportunity to gain a social experience for the students from Canadian College of Shiatsu Therapy.
